The practice of yoga has its roots in India and it has been present in the East for many years. Currently widespread and assimilated by the rest of the World, yoga has proven to be an adaptable practice, engaged by people with varied backgrounds and different cultural perspectives.

The word yoga has many meanings, and amongst them are “union” and “concentration”. It has been used to improve physical and mental health, increase concentration and focus, calm the mind and many other benefits currently backed up by scientific studies.

Different yoga practices include breathing techniques, postures and meditation. By using these techniques in a mindful way, yoga can help us to become more productive at work, more concentrated and more caring and aware of our relationships. Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga Yoga is considered a dynamic style of yoga developed by Sri.K. Pattabhi Jois in India. Based on the “Tristana” system (three points attention), the practice always includes movement (posture or asana), focus and breathing. In this way, the practice turns into a meditation on movement, purifies the body and at the same time helps to develop strength and flexibility. The practice is based on a fixed sequence of postures which are given to the student one by one through time.


Yin Yoga

The practice of Yin Yoga focuses on going deeper into postures for a long period of time, while allowing the body to relax and sink into the posture. The asana is combined with long and slow breathing, and the teacher guides each student into a deep state of presence and awareness of the body.
